25% to 30% of your calories should come from fat. Fat also heightens satiety which means you are less likely to keep eating or nibbling at food after eating a meal that contains fat.

punkrocklibrarian » showme Hey lady trousers, how are you doing? Thanks for adding me. I hope you're doing well with your recovery. Don't let things like fluid retention or weight gain hinder you. What does it matter anyway? It doesn't change who you are. Self acceptance is the only way to full recovery - accepting yourself at any size - and surely you can see you deserve full recovery, a decent life and lasting happiness, regardless of how many stupid calories you eat? i read it. you're a talented writer. and it's so raw. i feel your pain... x
I read it too. It's very honest and a lot of the thoughts you described sounded so familiar. It was pretty painful to read, though. Seeing in words just how much food/eating dominates our lives. But think, someday things will be completely different and you'll be able to read that entry and see just how much they've improved! I hope that things are improving already for you.
Yeah, that's what I am using this blog for.
It helps me vent if I need to, it helps me to the the changes I am making (body, mind and soul) and it defintiely helps to see the progress. That is why I include the Downs, the binges and purges and the fight itself in there. I mean, that is reality of recovery. No one can be turned around just like that (if so, give me the address of that doctor ;) ). Recovery is a learning process and it is altering my way of thinking, which I believe to be a good thing. It just takes time, and I am starting to accept that. Although I have always wanted everything as fast as possible.
Thanks for reading and commenting.
