Advice to cope with stressful moment

Hi everyone.

I'm naturally anxious but find slowly how to cope with this. My question here is: when you have something very very stressful coming up, do you have something you do to help or do you just confront the situation and wait until it's over?

Explanation: I have an interview for an internship. It's something quite huge compared to the qualifications i have now. But i talked to the guy on the phone and it seemed that there was a good feeling. I'm so afraid that he will think i'm stupid or useless or not good enough for this job.

As i'm freaking out, i had to force myself to eat enough for lunch. I've already prepared a good snack as it will be time for it after the interview. I think i will try to find somewhere nice outdoor to eat my snack before going back home. I chose loose clothes, tried to look casual and professional and comfortable in my clothes (took a look really quickly in the mirror, don't really like it but i know it's ok). Oh boy! I'm ready! Everything is prepared. Even if i don't have this job, i can do my best, be smily, nice and appear professional, even if i may not be perfect for the job on the paper.

Great set of plans!! Good

Great set of plans!! Good luck on the job! I think it's really wise to focus on the transition from post-interview until home. The idea of eating a snack outdoors is great because it gives you a change of scenery and you can go home without taking all that tension with you.

It sounds like you've really

It sounds like you've really thought this through and planned ahead. Good job! The only thing I wanted to tell you as I read this was that I think your reaction to the stress and anxiety is completely normal. I think even non bulimics would react the same way. It sounds like you handled it great by planning out the snacks meals and anticipating the emotions. Great job!

I just post to say that they

I just post to say that they gave me the job!!!!!!!

I'm so happy. There's plenty of things to do. And my colleagues seems quite nice. I'm gonna push myself to know them more. It's a bit stressful as i began to work already and i clearly have a lot to learn and to organize.

I also have to organize my food plan around all this, that will also need some organization (lunches out and snacks to have in my bag). I didn't eat enough through yesterday and so ended up not eating well during the evening. I have to stay focus on recovery even with loads of stress.

PS: the snack i planned for the day of the interview really helped me to go through this, you are right that was a good way of doing things.
