Pep talk for Myself!!

Just giving myself a virtual kick-up-the-bum.. need to 'wake up'!!!

Em- you need to keep seeing where you're heading- and it's way way way more fabulous and amazing than you could even imagine. If you can dream it you can create it.

Keep focused on the positive, helpful action and small steps.

Walk through the fear, step through the pain and come out the other side. You will have to face the hard stuff. There's no other way!!

You can't keep running back to the ED every time some unpleasant feeling crops up. You have to eat! IT'S NOT OPTIONAL!

You have to look all the ED behaviour in the eyes and say I'M BETTER THAN THAT. Because to be anything less is cheating yourself out of being the best you can be in this life.

Sure, you could manipulate the behaviours to suit you, and pretend (like you have been) to be 'doing well' in recovery. But the only person you are cheating is yourself!! And you know deep within what's true.

You have so many wonderful people and resources around you- use them!! You are so lucky!

Stop lying to to the doctors, manipulating your behaviours and twisting your words to the support team. It's childish and only hurting yourself.

And do do do- action!! Eat!! Eat!! Just EAT! Because you cannot recover without eating. And start stopping purging, and over-exercising.

Stop pretending that it's alright. Because it's not.

It's your choice- do you want to live or not? And you know that you DO have a choice. No matter how hopeless the ED makes things seem.

Come on- YOU CAN DO IT!!

They told you this week you will be back in hospital next week and you could die. What more motivation do you need?!? I'm begging myself LISTEN TO YOUR INNER VOICE EMMIE.. just try. You know what this life is like. Let's just see if the other way is worth a go.

Now go out there today and try.

Come on babe. Pull it together. One meal, one mouthful, one tear, one emotion at a time. (oh i just want a hug.. ) I have to do this alone and only I can do it so COME ON and do it do it do it.

There is so much life out there.

*****In hard times she had learned... she was stronger than she ever imagined, God was closer than she ever realised and she was loved more than she could ever know*****
