SEVERE Menstrual Cramps - Linked to Bulimia???

My period is almost never regular. Last year I didn't get it for 7 months straight. ...But lately I've been getting it on a monthly basis. But this month I've been Bngeing/Purging 'religiously' every day. My ED is in full swing right now..

..Yesterday was Day 2 of my period. I had the most excruciatingly painful cramps. They felt what I would imagine labor pains to feel like!

I've never felt cramps quite so painful before. In fact, I rarely used to get cramps at all during my period.

So my question is, Do you guys think the severe cramps and frequent Purging are linked? ...I wonder if it's some kind of gastric distress or something?

eating habits and stress all

eating habits and stress all have a huge impact on your periods,

for one less thing to worry and stress you about it may be worth going on the pill, as it really controls periods,
it will be worth speaking to your doctor about going on the pill, but also use condoms and do not rely on the pill if you are still throwing up coz there is high chance your pill won't get absorbed enough at times to make sure you don't get pregnant.

you have a few side effects for the first 3 months, like bleeding in between periods for a day or so. but as soon as your body is adjusted its magic!
no cramps,
no swelling
no suprise periods at the dafted times ( you get your period every 28days on the dot!)

Good advice

Thanks, bh_fan - going on the pill is a great suggestion. I'm not sexually active [so potential pregnancy isn't a concern], but if it can lessen the severity of my PMS, then it's definitely worth a shot =)

it honnestly does work! i had

it honnestly does work!
i had years of agony with my periods, for the week before i would break out in spots and then the 1st 2 days of bleeding i was constantly in pain and it was so heavy and i'd roast up like i was in an oven!

i was on the the pill for 2 years when i was with my ex boyfriends but realised he was a sleeping around with anyone and everything! so i stopped taking them as i didn't see the point as i won't go without a condom again untill married or something! because i could have caught anything from this guy i trusted!!!! and i didn't see the point taking these pill s anymore as i though its unnatural to take them,

but my periods went back to theirs normal crazy wayswith them going all loopy (like it'd miss a month then i'd bleed 3 weeks solid! crazy!)

going back on it was the best choice i made! periods are so much easier to handle,

plus once your body is used to the pills you can skip periods! the pills are a 28day cycle, you usually have 21 active tables, then 7 days off (no pills) or 7 days placebo (inactive pills) on the third day off the days of /inactive pill, you get your period, if you carry on a new pack after day 21 you miss that period,
my doctor said it is safe to skip one period at a time and doesn't recoment skipping more than 1 month at time

Also. . .

I have a friend who got 'the shot' [?] I'm not sure what it's called lol. ...But it's basically an injection that serves the same purpose as The Pill. ..Except you only need to get it once monthly as opposed to taking a pill every day.

...I'll need to do a little more investigating. But either way, something must be done - this freakin' hurts!! x(

definatly research into it

definatly research into it because everyone is different and things that help one person may not help the other, but for sure you will find something that suits you and really helps.

but with a monlthy shot, can you handle going to see the doctor every month!
i tend to stay away as much as i can! i get 6month supply of pills, i'd get a years if they'd allow it! :)
